Liver Cleanse Recipe

Barbara O’Neill’s recipe for Liver Detox & Flu Bomb 


Blend together and drink for at least seven days, followed by the liver tea recipe 15 minutes after you drink the liver cleanse recipe.

Liver Cleanse Recipe:

1 cup of fresh orange/grapefruit and lemon juice

1 cup of water

1 clove of garlic

1 Tablespoon of olive oil

1/2 teaspoon of chopped ginger (for nausea)


Liver Tea Recipe: (1 Part = 1/4 Cup when in herb form, use 2 TBLS as 1 part if herb is in powder form)

1 Part Dandelion Root

1 Part Milk Thistle

1 Part Dried Gentian

1 Part Licorice Root

1/2 Part Goldenseal

1 Part Ginger when cooking

How to use:

1 teaspoon of mixture for every 16 ounces of water.

Use stainless steel pot, cover, wait until it simmers (slow boil), lower heat, and maintain a simmer for 15 minutes, cool, and drink.  Healthy meals are allowed after this protocol, but if you plan on consuming bad food you will be defeating the purpose.


Flu Bomb: 3x per day

1 Garlic Clove Crushed
1/4 Tsp Ginger Grated
1 Drop Eucalyptus Oil (or TeaTree Oil)
Cayenne Pepper (as tolerated, either a shake or 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon)
Lemon Juice from one lemon
1 Tsp Honey
Mix above into 1/3 cup of hot water
